Tola lives in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago and I love the vibe and look of the items she’s curated in her shop and that on each product page you’ll see who the artist is and where the item was created/designed/made. I also love that I can support a female, Black owned business by encouraging you to visit her online shop, follow Tola and Bon Femmes on instagram, and purchase some of her art and finds! These are the items that piqued my interest from Bon Femmes.
I love this piece of art, designed by Tola herself. (And I’m also very much drawn to her photo styling work in this photo, too!)
The print of this tee shirt communicates my response to anyone walking near me, standing near me or even attempting to talk to me without a mask on right now.
Choosing a nail polish color is up there in my sphere of decisions I just can’t seem to make. (Please tell me I’m not the only one!) I’m really loving the art-deco Palm Springs vibe I’m getting from the cap design and the deep peachy shade of this nail polish.
I’m having a serious plant-mom moment. (I recently brought a plant back to life and am just so darn impressed with myself.) I’m also trying to curate cool prints and art for our place that isn’t too feminine and I think these two leaf botanical prints are perfect so I’m purchasing!
Seriously, I cannot get enough calming lavender in my life right now – I’m replanning a (very small!) wedding in two months! I’m certain this lavender body oil will smell as pretty as the bottle and packaging.
Speaking of calming … I think it’s safe to say that 2020 could use some serious good vibes — I think it could use a cleanse and release, no? Bring on the sage, palo Santo and the calming vibes of my birthstone, Amethyst in this Good Vibes Kit.
So that’s a wrap on my first Emelle Edit — my new Friday Five, but not always published on Fridays. I noticed there are quite a few bloggers publishing some sort of Friday Five these days, so I’d like a little something more of my own. And something to evolve into a (spoiler alert!) weekly newsletter, of sorts. Because, as we all know, I’m quite sporadic with my blogging here, at best.
